I attended the Regional conference last weekend and met many interesting and awe inspiring individuals including several trustees.
I cared for my husband David who was diagnosed on 1st May 2015 and died 9th September 2015. During those four short months we were unable access the nursing care which was discussed at the conference and readily available in other areas of the country. I am passionate about changing that in my area and it was one of the reasons I attended the conference.
I was most gratified and honoured to be allowed to speak and further honoured by being invited by the Chairman of the trustees and his board to consider becoming a trustee myself. Having done a little research online in this regard I believe it would be a wonderful way to honour the memory of my very brave husband David and wish to discuss the next step to achieving my full acceptance by the board.
