After meeting with little bunny 26/4/15 prior to diagnosis on 1/5/15

Hi Dave

Thanks for your email, you beat me to it, i was going to send you a very similar one saying what a lovely day Sunday was. Spending time with my big brother is great and i love hearing all the old stories of what you remember and know about our dad. Most of our family time is spent with John's family and although they are lovely they do not remember our dad and those that do only knew him for a short time after he had his stroke, when he was completely different to what we knew him as so i cannot reminisce or go down memory lane with them.

It was also lovely to meet Ems and her family, she is such a lovely lady and your grandchildren are so beautiful and well behaved, they are a credit to her. It is also nice to hear about all the other family i have out there. You are getting to do more than our dad did and have some time with your grandchildren, it is probably something dad regretted as i think he would have been a lovely granddad. He may well have been a handful to be married to but he calmed down a lot in later years and he had some lovely ways, i know my friends all used to love him and thought he was such a great character, everyone wanted to come to my house and come to our local council estate club where we spent most weekends so it is a shame he didn't get to show his grandchildren that side of him but i bet he had a lot of regrets.

It is a shame he cannot see how we all got on Sunday and had a lovely day, let's hope he was looking down smiling! He certainly would have approved of the pub after!

We mustn't let it be another 5 years before we meet again, it would be lovely to do something again before the end of this year. Say hello to Jan for me-isn't she a lovely lady and clearly adores you. I hope Clare likes the pictures, after Ems has finished with them, i have lots of the later years so can share some more if she wants some. I would love to know all the things she knows about dad-i had no idea he had been to America or Hawaii and bet there are many more places too she knows he went to-i like thinking when i go places that i am sort of retracing his steps-although now we have the dog travel is a bit more limited ut i went to America, Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand on my own when i was 21 and he never said he had been to any of them. There was me sending back photos of all the landmarks thinking i was showing them to him and my mum for the first time and he had probably seen them all himself years before-how strange he never said?!

Anyway i best go and do some work-no rest for the wicked! I am also off to the eye hospital later for a check up, hoping all ok now with my eye and the ulcer has gone so i can stop wearing those daft dark glasses and go back to my contact lenses. Next time we meet i will be able to see you all a bit better! Take care of yourself and keep in touch.

Lots of love

Little Bunny (that's what i always signed cards to dad as-he was Big Bunny so which Bunny shall we call you?-hee hee!)
